My day-to-day lived and breathed student journalism for most of my college career. With that came conversations about journalism, creative direction, mentorship, leadership, ethics, mental health and everything in-between. Plus, I got some great work done along the way.

From clunky and confined to not-so-clunky and refreshing. I revamped our Instagram story design, cleaned up the feed tone and mood, added cohesive and useful highlights, created a consistent social media voice and determined a holistic social brand.

The Gamecock published a Friday newsletter including everything from food to fashion to horoscopes. Holidays proved to be perfect times to add a little spice to the newsletter headers and accessories.

When Covid hit and weekly printing became a thing of the past for The Gamecock, a special edition print was the new normal. And for that, we needed a new style.

Every good print needs an eye-catching cover. I ideated and created the Eat Drink Shop: Columbia and Look Back Move Forward special edition print covers and overall themes.
